Contentment and ambition by Rick Copley

Updated: Sep 21, 2022

Along the path the better health, wellness and performance we need to do our best to balance contentment and ambition.

Too much of either can, and will, be destructive to the process.

Same goes for too little of one of these.

Too much or too little contentment, and or, ambition will lead to the cardinal sin of the fitness journey.

Of course that sin is quitting and you are NOT a quitter.

Contentment. At the end of each day you must be content that you did your absolute best. You must have a sense of satisfaction that you did your best and that you made progress towards a better you.

Did you have a win today? Maybe a great workout or some good eating decisions. Perhaps you were motivated, had gratitude and lived in a positive way.

The reason that you are content is 100% up to you, but it is vital that you be HAPPY in some way shape or form with something that you did.

Find contentment in each day; but not too much.

You also need....

Ambition. It doesn't matter where you are or what progress you have made. YOU MUST WANT FOR MORE.

If you look in the mirror and see progress you need to fight tooth and nail for more progress.

A better weigh lifted or a faster time run is great but it's never enough. Be ambitious for more.

You can always be better. Always.

Your journey will take you wherever you want it to. You CAN and WILL get whatever results you want. The way that you look and the way that you feel is 100% up to you.

You get to define who you are but you MUST be content with your progress each day but you also MUST be ambitious for more.

Learn to balance contentment and ambition and you will learn to design your life. That's the truth.

I want to help you on your journey to a better you. I would love you here what you ambitions are and what is holding you back.
